Junior Software Engineer & IT Support

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and solutions-oriented Junior Software Engineer & IT Support to help design, develop, automate, and maintain the company's internal systems and technology infrastructure.

This role goes beyond traditional software development. You will work closely with multiple departments—including Operations, HR, Finance, Recruitment, Sales, Client Success, Compliance, Leadership, and IT—to build practical solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Projects may include internal web applications, workflow automation, dashboards, AI-powered tools, system integrations, document management, payroll support, ticketing systems, employee and client management platforms, reporting solutions, and other business applications.

In addition to software development, you will provide basic IT support by assisting with user account management, software setup, troubleshooting, documentation, device coordination, and cybersecurity best practices.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real business challenges through technology, automation, AI, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Systems Development
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain internal applications, tools, and business systems.
  • Build solutions that support Operations, HR, Finance, Recruitment, Sales, Client Success, Administration, Leadership, and IT teams.
  • Assist in developing systems such as:
  • Timekeeping and attendance
  • Payroll preparation workflows
  • Employee and client management
  • Ticketing systems
  • Asset management
  • Document management
  • Invoicing support
  • Internal portals and business applications
  • Create dashboards and reports that provide visibility into operational performance, compliance, workload, employee activity, client activity, and business metrics.
  • Integrate systems using APIs, databases, webhooks, Microsoft services, and third-party platforms.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, improve existing applications, and provide technical support to internal users.
Workflow Automation & AI Solutions
  • Build workflow automations for approvals, notifications, reminders, reporting, task assignments, and data synchronization.
  • Develop or maintain automations using platforms such as:

  • Microsoft Power Automate
  • Make
  • Zapier
  • or similar automation tools
  • Assist in developing AI-powered solutions including:
  • Internal AI assistants
  • Document processing
  • Knowledge management
  • Data summarization
  • Reporting automation
  • Task automation
  • Connect business systems to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Research and recommend emerging AI and automation technologies that can enhance internal productivity while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
IT Support & Systems Administration
  • Provide first-level technical support to internal employees.
  • Assist with:
  • User account provisioning
  • Access management
  • Password reset coordination
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Basic troubleshooting
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by managing system access and account setup.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including:
  • User guides
  • Standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshooting documentation
  • Software inventories
  • Access records
  • Help manage company software licenses, shared drives, cloud platforms, and internal systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors or senior technical personnel for issues requiring escalation.
  • Assist in maintaining hardware, software, and account inventories.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Follow company security, privacy, and confidentiality standards when handling employee, client, financial, and operational data.
  • Support role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege access principles.
  • Document system changes, workflow updates, technical configurations, and access records.
  • Identify potential security, privacy, or compliance risks and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Promote cybersecurity best practices, including:
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Password security
  • Phishing awareness
  • Endpoint protection
  • Secure handling of confidential information
  • Ensure internal applications and automation workflows are developed with security and data protection in mind.

Skills & Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Up to two (2) years of experience in software development, automation, systems development, or IT support is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of:
