This role requires consistent engagement of the clients with the purpose of reviewing the clients’ portfolio composition, its performance, the updates to the clients of ATRAM’s active management in order to anticipate the consequences of market movements, the periodic revisits to the goals and wealth management needs of the clients that can include retirement planning or the requirement for regular passive income or the preparation for legacy planning.

As such is the depth of the role, given the affluent clients’ expectations, it is necessary for the Wealth Manager to always be well informed, educated on the wide range of needs of the affluent client and equipped with the most current market developments.

This role is expected, as well, to be well versed in the fulfillment process of services that will be required by the clients that can include the most convenient ways by which clients’ can transfer money using paperless means, the provision of information and digital means by which clients’ can access them, the anticipation of requirements for liquidity.

The Wealth Solutions Manager is expected, as well, to partner with Independent Wealth Consultants (IWCs) who are signed up by the business for their need to source the discretionary portfolio management services of ATRAM and provide it to their wealth or financial advisory clients.

The role, in this case, means that the Wealth Solutions Manager has external partners who become a source of business and would require effective support and collaboration , a respect for putting at the center of this partnership the original relationship of the IWC with the clients that they are bringing to ATRAM.

In ATRAM, a Wealth Manager is focused on the growth of the Assets Under Management (AUM) through the conversion of prospects and leads that are provided through a variety of sources such as social media campaigns, events, staff referrals , client referrals, their organic network and through partnerships with a growing number of IWCs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the YOY business growth in terms of Assets Under Management and Revenue. A first year Wealth Solutions Manager will have 6 IWCs with each growing to a minimum portfolio size of Php150 to 300Mn in Assets Under Management within a 2-year period.
  • Develops, coordinates and maintains relationships with Independent Wealth Consultants (IWCs) in order to build and maintain with them their IWC portfolios
  • Actively engages all leads generated by various acquisition sources including the IWC’s leads, business generated leads from acquisitions campaigns, leads from own organic network and converts them to clients, effectively handling their onboarding by coaching clients through the expected services.
  • Actively builds, develops, coordinates, maintains, enhances relationships with existing clients which consequently grows Assets Under Management
  • Develops, enhances and updates to keep current effective presentations and sales pitches by maximizing the use of available tools and digital platforms
  • Assists in identifying client needs and be able to work closely with internal units to provide solutions and communicate these to the customer including the identification of potential portfolio strategies
  • Actively participate in deepening client market acumen and investment knowledge
  • Keep the ATRAM Wealth Team abreast of industry developments by active participation in Associations and industry events specially where they can network, meet and influence potential Independent Wealth Consultants.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness

Competencies required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant rules and regulations of the financial markets, asset management and trust industries
  • Technical Investment products knowledge with hands-on experience in the creation or sales of investment products and portfolio strategies. Experience and knowledge of equity, fixed income and alternative investments, including Gold, Commodities, REITs, Real Assets, Hedge Funds, Private Credit and Private Equity
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Vertical Career Development:

This is a role can grow vertically in two ways: as a single contributor from Manager to Director level following the growth of the Assets Under Management of the Wealth Solutions Manager or develop into sales leadership managing a sales channel of IWCs and Junior Wealth Managers.

Education and experience required:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in the fields of banking or asset management, particularly in the function of treasury and investment product management. Having a significantly sized portfolio of Sales clients is a BONUS.
  • Relevant educational qualifications, preferably a university degree in business, economics or finance-related courses.
  • With an in-depth knowledge and understanding of economics, financial markets and asset management products
