Accounting Assistant
Job Description
The Accounting Assistant provides support to the accounting and finance team by assisting in daily financial transactions, record-keeping, and documentation. The role ensures accurate recording of financial data, timely processing of reports, and compliance with company policies and government requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions, journals, and ledgers
- Prepare and organize vouchers, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable monitoring
- Encode and update accounting data in the accounting system
- Assist in bank reconciliations and monitoring of cash transactions
- Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules
- Assist in the preparation and filing of BIR forms, government reports, and compliance documents
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties as needed
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the Accounting Officer or Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related course
- With at least 1 year experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates may be considered)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
- Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate with numbers
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willing to work in an office-based environment
