DESIGN MANAGER
Role Overview
The Design Manager leads the creative design function within a fast-paced events and experiential agency environment. This role oversees a team of designers and 3D artists, managing the end-to-end execution of design deliverables across on-ground events, campaigns, and brand activations.The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader with deep expertise in both art direction and project management, a strong supplier network, and a proven track record in the local events and booth agency space.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of 10 designers — assigning tasks, setting timelines, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Mentor and guide team members in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
- Review and approve final outputs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Represent the design team in key meetings — briefings, oculars, pre-production, supplier, and post-mortem sessions.
- Conceptualize and execute design solutions for campaigns, activations, and on-ground events.
- Lead creation of event assets — key visuals, logos, illustrations, invites, posters, and animated materials.
- Oversee 3D renders, mock-ups, and flat layouts, ensuring accuracy in measurements, positioning, and customer journey alignment.
- Coordinate with fabricators and suppliers on materials, execution standards, and production requirements.
- Ensure all design information in pre-production decks and client/supplier briefs is accurate and brand-compliant.
- Stay updated on industry trends and tools to drive design innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years leading a design team of at least 5 people.
- Must have local events and/or booth agency experience — film industry background not considered.
- Strong supplier network and database.
- Proficient in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), SketchUp, and 3D rendering tools.
- Strong art direction, 2D/3D design, and project management skills.
- Background in events, branding, or PR is an advantage.
Full onsite, regular work schedule based in Makati City.
