Jr. Information Security Analyst - (considering Fresh Graduates)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career IT professionals eager to kickstart their career in cybersecurity.

You will work closely with experienced security professionals to monitor systems, support incident response, help manage vulnerabilities, and ensure our digital assets remain secure. • Security Monitoring: Assist in monitoring security tools, alerts, and system logs to identify potential threats and unauthorized activities.
• Incident Support: Help investigate basic security alerts, participate in initial threat triage, and escalate complex incidents to senior team members.
• Vulnerability & Endpoint Security: Support regular vulnerability scanning, patch management tracking, and endpoint protection oversight across company devices.
• Identity & Access Management: Assist with user access administration, Active Directory management, and access review processes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document security procedures, log findings clearly, and assist in preparing regular security reports.
• Security Awareness: Promote security best practices across the organization and assist with security awareness initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of experience in Information Security, IT Support, Systems Administration, or a related IT role.
• Internship or hands-on academic experience in cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to security monitoring, vulnerability management, or incident response is a plus.

• Core Concepts: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common threats, and industry best practices.
• Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Networking: Basic grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls).
• Endpoint & Access: Understanding of endpoint security, antivirus/EDR solutions, and access control concepts.
• Tooling Exposure: Familiarity with security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, SIEM solutions, vulnerability scanners, endpoint management platforms) is a plus.
• Identity Systems: Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, Active Directory, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) is preferred.
