Job Description
- Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the Policy Administration Application back end (database), front end (User Interface and Built-In Configuration Tools) and anything in between (interfaces and integrations)
- Reading, analyzing and interpreting Regulatory Circulars/Documentation and determining and documenting impact to the Policy Administration Product
- Partnering with customers to define business needs and eliciting business requirements on complex implementation engagements
- Conducting detailed walkthrough of the Policy Administration Application Base Features and Functions with new customers and determining base functionalities that will be adopted and deviations that will need to be implemented
- Independently producing artifacts including:
- Business requirement
- Epics
- Features
- User Stories
- Workflow/Process flow diagrams
- Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Planning and leading the facilitation of requirements and solution discussions
- Providing comprehensive research, analysis and recommendations for proposed solutions, critically considering multiple options before helping the team settle on a solution
- Acquiring product configuration skills and implementing required non-programming configurations to meet business requirements
- Actively participating in peer reviews/inspections for requirements, estimates, and specifications; providing feedback and guidance to others
- Leading the development of supporting documentation and/or training
- Providing staff training as subject matter expert
- Providing support as needed to internal and external customers
- Facilitating estimating discussions and coordinating work efforts
- Providing support for testing activities
- Must have bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business administration, or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance (non-life) industry
- Commercial Property Insurance, Commercial Casualty Insurance, Commercial Auto, or Workers Compensation experience is preferred
- Must have hands-on experience working as a Business Analyst for Insurance Policy Administration applications
- Must have Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) knowledge and experience; must be able to demonstrate basic SQL/database query skills
- Proficient in business process modelling, requirements gathering, and system design
- In-depth knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address business challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Must be able to facilitate working meetings, ask probing questions, and truly listen and absorb the needs of the Business
- Attention to detail is critical to the success of this position, with demonstrated competency in customer orientation and the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Must be amenable to work on Night Shift
- Must be amenable to work in Makati City under a Hybrid Set-up (2x a week)
