Minimum Qualification

With a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
At least three (3-4) years experience as Cost Accounting Supervisor or equivalent and knowledgeable in the use of accounting software.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) may be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Job Description

Adheres to all established accounting policies and procedures.
Prepares; An Accurate of Cost of Sales Report peer product & Variance Report on actual cost vs standard cost.
Analyses and evaluates variances on inventory with Production, Packaging and Supply Chain Departments.
Ensures reconciled inventory accounts balances with Packaging & Supply Chain.
Reviews adjustments to cost of sales and inventories as to quantity and unit cost.
Analyses direct and indirect overhead costs.
Reviews standard costs on a regular basis.
Estimates new product costs.
Prepares / Reviews Journal Vouchers.
Manages and analyses cost efficiency problems.
Identifies opportunities for cost reduction
Manages Accounting staff (Cost).
Develops ways of improving skills of staff.
Performs other related functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
