Job Summary:

The Store Team Leader manages the daily operations of the BLK 513 store, with direct responsibility for service standards, product execution, team supervision, stock control, equipment maintenance, and cash management. The role serves as the on-duty supervisor and ensures the store consistently follows the brand's Customer Journey, delivering a complete guest experience from greeting, ordering, product presentation, and quality handling, through to farewell and after-service touchpoints.

The Store Team Leader is expected to lead by example, maintain operational discipline, and protect the brand by consistently executing store standards.

Detailed Responsibilities
  1. Store Operations
  • Ensures the store is correctly opened and closed based on standards.
  • Conducts shift briefings and assigns daily roles to the Froyo Artisans.
  • Maintains store cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and overall atmosphere aligned with brand identity.
  • Ensures equipment and fixtures are functional and escalates issues immediately.
  • Ensures proper food safety practices such as temperature monitoring, storage, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensures proper stock rotation, product labeling, and timely preparation based on forecasts.
  • Coordinates with Operations Manager regarding store needs, issues, or concerns that may affect business continuity.
  • Prepares weekly manpower allocation to ensure adequate deployment per shift based on forecasted sales and peak hours.
  • Ensures all store equipment is in good working condition and properly used based on SOP.
  • Monitors equipment preventive maintenance schedules and coordinates with the Resource Management Department for servicing.
  • Reports equipment concerns, breakdowns, and potential hazards immediately to the Resource Management Department and Operations.
  1. Customer Service
  • Ensures the entire shift follows the BLK 513 Customer Journey at all interaction points.
  • Monitors queue handling, cashier performance, and service speed.
  • Coaches staff on greeting script, service tone, menu recommendation, and product knowledge.
  • Monitors product appearance, serving size, product quality, and packaging presentation.
  • Handles customer complaints professionally and seeks corrective action immediately.
  • Upholds a warm, friendly service culture aligned with brand characteristics.
  1. Team Supervision
  • Leads the team on shift, monitors performance, and resolves operational concerns.
  • Reinforces discipline and proper uniform standards.
  • Trains new Froyo Artisans and provides continuous coaching.
  • Ensures all employees follow SOPs, safety standards, and service protocols.
  • Encourages teamwork and positive store culture.
  • Reports HR-related concerns to Operations Manager for proper action.
  1. Inventory and Stock Handling
  • Performs daily stock count and validates stock accuracy.
  • Ensures strict FIFO, expiry monitoring, and proper stock rotation.
  • Forecasts inventory based on daily trends and sales projections.
  • Coordinates stock replenishment and delivery schedules.
  • Reports discrepancies, near-expiry, and slow-moving items.
  • Completes inventory documentation such as receiving reports, stock cards, and waste logs.
  • Ensures adherence to standard Cost of Sales percentage through proper ordering, waste control, portioning, and inventory discipline.
  • Monitors wastage daily and applies corrective actions to minimize waste and protect margins.
  1. Sales and Cash Handling
  • Oversees POS operations and cash reconciliation.
  • Validates cash sales, payment types, and end-of-day reports.
  • Ensures deposit slips, official receipts, and other cash documents are complete and properly filed.
  • Ensures all cash and sales-related documents are audit-ready at any time.
  • Prevents shortages through proper cashier handling procedures and coaching.
  1. Administrative Functions
  • Ensures daily sales updates and monthly operations reports are submitted on time and complete.
  • Submits Petty Cash Replenishment and all required accounting documentation clearly and thoroughly.
  • Ensures proper filing and organization of store documents.
  • Reports incidents such as equipment breakdown, customer complaint, or operational interruption immediately.
  • Provides necessary feedback to the Operations Manager regarding manpower, supplies, and operational performance.
  1. Compliance
  • Implements all food safety protocols and sanitation requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all brand SOPs and mall regulations.
  • Ensures food handling, storage, and temperature control follow standard food safety guidelines and DOH requirements (monthly water analysis).
  • Complies with government laws, LGU ordinances, BIR rulings, and other permits or licenses.
  • Ensures all employees secure and maintain Occupational Permits and Health Certificates as required by the LGU.
  • Coordinates with the Accounting Department for permit renewals and documentation requirements.
  • Ensures the store is always inspection-ready for audits, mall inspections, LGU checks, and food safety assessments.
  • Ensures equipment, facilities, and major store fixtures comply with safety guidelines and are regularly checked through preventive maintenance.
  • Ensures the store and staff follow emergency procedures such as first aid response, incident reporting, and evacuation protocols.
  1. Local Store Marketing (LSM) and Promotions
  • Ensures proper execution of brand campaigns, promotions, and point-of-sale materials as directed by Marketing or Operations.
  • Monitors promo compliance and reports any issues affecting campaign performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferably one year of experience in a food or retail environment.
  • Supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented and responsible.
  • Able to work under pressure and during peak store hours.
  • Willing to work mall hours, weekends, and holidays.
