Supply Chain & Operations Manager (Mandarin Speaking)

We are recruiting this role on behalf of a US-based networking hardware company with a global customer base (notably in the gaming, hospitality, and telco sectors). Their products are manufactured in China and the Philippines, and shipped globally to clients in the US, Germany, Australia, and beyond.
Role Overview:
As a Supply Chain & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing procurement and inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products both locally and internationally. The Supply Chain & Operations Manager will report to the VP and General Manager of APAC .
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain consistent stock levels to meet customer needs and conduct periodic physical inventory audits.
- Shipping Coordination: Manage the shipping and receiving of product and component inventory, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Vendor Sourcing and maintenance: Assist in sourcing and maintain new vendors for new products, components, and product testing gear, etc.
- International Logistics: Work to ship products internationally and locally, handling all related logistics.
- Product Returns: Coordinate product returns, conducting root cause analysis in collaboration with vendors and customers.
- Communication: Communicate critical inventory and shipping updates to management verbally and/or in writing.
- Payment Records: Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and preparing detailed reports related to vendor/customer payments.
Requirements:
Must-Have Skills- 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management.
- Experience with international logistics and freight.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in Mandarin.
- Experience with FishBowl or equivalent inventory software.
- Background in telecoms, IT hardware, or gaming electronics industries.
- Previous exposure to RFID tagging and EDI transmission is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a US company or multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle operations and return management.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Self-starter who thrives in a lean team and remote-first setup.
- Team-oriented and comfortable interacting cross-functionally.
Work Arrangement:
- 100% remote from the Manila area (preferred for proximity to factory).
- Expected to visit the contract manufacturer 4–5 times/year.
- Some occasional APAC travel for supplier or customer meetings.
- Normal APAC working hours, with some flexibility to join occasional evening/morning calls with US HQ.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has strong experience in logistics and inventory management, with proven expertise in using FishBowl or similar systems. They are fluent in both English and Mandarin, capable of working independently, and communicating effectively across a global team.The candidate is based within commuting distance to Manila and brings a proactive, detail-oriented approach to operations in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
