HR Generalist (Manufacturing & Retail Clothing Company)

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources operations of our manufacturing and retail clothing business. This role is responsible for executing core HR functions across employee relations, recruitment, payroll coordination, compliance, timekeeping, labor relations, performance management, and HR administration for both factory and retail operations.

The ideal candidate is operationally strong, detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of supporting a fast-paced workforce environment that includes production staff, warehouse personnel, and retail employees.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or apparel industries.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, payroll processes, and HR operations.
  • Experience handling large workforce populations and multi-site operations is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting both blue-collar and retail workforce environments.
  • Knowledge of timekeeping and workforce scheduling systems.

HR Operations & Administration
  • Manage daily HR operations and employee records across manufacturing and retail sites.
  • Maintain and update HRIS, employee files, contracts, and mandatory documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, overtime, shift schedules, and timekeeping accuracy.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently implemented.
Recruitment & Staffing
  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for production, warehouse, retail, and office positions.
  • Coordinate job postings, interviews, hiring documentation, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Work closely with department managers to address manpower requirements.
  • Support workforce planning during peak production and retail seasons.
Employee Relations
  • Address employee concerns, disciplinary matters, grievances, and workplace investigations.
  • Assist in implementing employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Promote positive employee relations and company culture across departments.
  • Support conflict resolution and coaching discussions with supervisors.
Payroll & Benefits Coordination
  • Prepare and validate payroll-related data including attendance, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
  • Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and government-mandated contributions.
  • Liaise with payroll providers and finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
Compliance & Labor Standards
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, occupational safety standards, and company regulations.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
  • Support implementation of workplace health and safety initiatives in manufacturing facilities and stores.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
