About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer (Acoustic & Workspace Products) to support an Australian-based company specializing in office furniture and acoustic workspace solutions. In this role, you will design and develop products such as acoustic pods, modular meeting units, wall and ceiling acoustic systems.You will ensure that designs are functional, visually appealing, and ready for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client briefs
- Develop detailed designs for acoustic and modular systems
- Generate precise 2D and 3D CAD outputs for manufacturing
- Prepare production-ready drawings and documentation
- Ensure compliance with design for manufacturing (DFM) standards
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams for feasibility
- Manage design revisions, file control, and documentation
- Assist in CNC programming and optimization of production workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in CAD drafting and manufacturing environments
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Exposure to CNC programming and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of Aspan, Enroute, or similar software is beneficial
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication, and assembly processes
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
