What is the job?

The Finance Controller is responsible in leading client engagements, manages a team of senior staff accountants, and oversees accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary accounting contact for multiple client engagements and manage relationships.
• Lead monthly reporting, financial statement reviews, and present analysis to executives.
• Direct and mentor Senior Staff Accountants on journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting deliverables.
• Implement scalable processes, internal controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP and client policies.
• Identify and execute process automation and workflow improvements; lead onboarding and cleanup projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years managing or reviewing accounting staff and processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and ERP/accounting systems.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel.
