QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Basic technical skills—able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Has a growth mindset with the desire to keep learning

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project-Based Accounts Payable Assistant ensures the efficient monitoring and processing of accounts payable and the prompt payment of both suppliers and employees.

If hired, you will be responsible for the following within the duration of the project:

  • Receive and verify completed documents for payment processing;
  • Ensure invoices are:
  • Authorized for payment and matched to purchase orders where applicable; and
  • Recorded and entered in the system using appropriate account codes and that payments are posted on the system appropriately;
  • Respond to all inquiries related to invoices/payments, answering telephone calls and emails, and liaising with relevant departments as necessary to ensure inquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner;
  • Perform administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, scanning, printing and filing;
  • Assist with account reconciliations as well as identifying and correcting accounting errors; and
  • Perform other tasks as required by the program and the company.
