Role Summary:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for leading technical engagements across the full lifecycle—from presales to implementation and post-deployment support. This role demands deep expertise in infrastructure technologies, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Solution Design- Conduct technical presentations and demos for clients
- Scope and size infrastructure solutions based on client requirements
- Prepare configuration details including specifications and product offerings
- Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of systems (e.g., servers, storage, networking, virtualization)
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability standards
- Collaborate with project managers to meet delivery timelines
- Provide Level 1/2 support for escalated technical issues
- Perform system health checks, patching, and upgrades
- Document configurations and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovations
- Contribute to internal process improvements and technical standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT/Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years in systems engineering and infrastructure deployment
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure products (servers, storage, networking, virtualization)
- Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, Windows/Linux, and major vendors (Cisco, Dell, HPE, Microsoft)
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Proven presales, solution design, and client-facing experience
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring skills
