Head of Accounting Department

Summary:

This position works closely with executive management to provide financial analysis and insights for the financial strategy of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for A Reliable Financial Management Systems for the whole company.
• Generation of Timely, Accurate Financial Statement with Corresponding Financial Analyses for all store locations and corporate.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and proper account reconciliation.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and track variances to improve budget accuracy and financial forecasting.
• Review and approve accounting entries, including journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance wit accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring cash balances, ensuring timely payment of liabilities and managing cash forecasts.
• Organizing and Staffing of the Finance and Accounting Department
• Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Must be a CPA
• Master’s Degree is an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of solid experience in financial management, accounting or in the same field with at least 4-5 years in a supervisory and managerial role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with financial management software and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• High level of critical thinking and analytical ability with dynamic mind to craft mid to complex financial strategies
• Must be willing to work full time onsite in Banawa, Cebu City
• Relocation package is offered to successful applicants who are non-residents of Cebu
