Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Middle East Projects

Key Responsibilities:

Assistance in all types of Pre-Contract Quantity Surveying services including:

• Developing detailed and accurate cost estimates at various stages of project development, from feasibility studies to detailed design.
• Creating and managing robust cost plans, ensuring projects remain within budget and providing proactive cost control measures.
• Performing accurate and efficient quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Preparing comprehensive and well-structured Bills of Quantities in various formats to facilitate the tendering process.

Key Skills:

• A minimum of 1 year of demonstrable experience working as an Estimator or Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a significant focus on pre-contract activities.
• Extensive experience in measuring and taking off quantities across various building and infrastructure project types.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Strong proficiency in developing and managing comprehensive cost plans.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach.

Academic Qualifications:

• University Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• PRC Licensed Engineer – Civil, Electrical or Mechanical (preferred)
