Accounting Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Officer to manage various aspects of our financial accounting. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day financial accounting tasks, ensuring that all accounting records in general ledgers—including customer accounts—are accurate, updated, and reconciled at any given time.

You will also be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting and contributing to the company's strategic decision-making processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of internal financial reports, offering insights into cost analysis, budget variances, and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop effective tools and procedures to manage accounting financial deliverables.
  • Ensure that general and subsidiary ledgers are consistently updated and reconciled.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to handle and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Ensure the accurate recording and classification of financial transactions and the timely closing of books.
  • Ensure and prepare report schedules for external audit and tax compliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure strict compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Job Specifications
  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, with exposure to management accounting, operational accounting, and financial accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and motivational approach.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strict adherence to ethical standards and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
