Communications & Fundraising Director

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of a four-year degree course with focus on communications, development studies community development or related field. Related post-graduate studies is a plus.
• With at least 12 years’ experience in different areas in development communications,
• branding & marking, donor management and fundraising
• At least 5 years of experience managing a development & communications team.
• Has meaningful experience working in development sector.
• An experienced technical writer who submitted approved/granted proposals suitable for midsized to large non-government organizations or foundation.
• A creative who has extensive experience in creation of persuasive contents, brochures and manuals for various audiences.
• Has proven track record of building good network and relationships with donors, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Has the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and social positions.
• Proficient in use of computer, MS office applications, internet and creative applications like Canva or PDF Pro.
• Excellent command of Filipino and English languages in both oral and written.
• Detailed-oriented, organized and capable of working in fast-phased environment.
• Uphold professionalism in all dealings within the organization
• Has the heart to serve the less privilege.

Duties and responsibilities:

• The Development & Communications Team (DCT) Director heads the SVF’s fundraising efforts to support current and future programs. This includes developing strategies for fundraising and managing donor relations.
• Work with the Chairman of the Fundraising Committee and the Executive Director in ensuring the efficient implementation of the SVF Fund Raising Plan by conceptualizing, organizing, and executing fund raising activities and campaigns and ensuring that all activities are within the unit budget.
• Responsible in managing the budget of DCT. Making sure that all expenses are properly accounted, funded and approved.
• Proactively search for potential funding source and lead in crafting appropriate grant proposal package.
• Planning and overseeing fundraising and visibility events.
• Responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance the organization reputation, manage its brand, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Define the objective and desired outcome for the production of variety of materials, including newsletters, website content, social media posts, and marketing collaterals.
• Make sure that right processes and strategies are in place to have an effective donor care management by building and maintaining relationships with donors, potential donors, and other stakeholders through communication and engagement efforts.
• Responsible in compilation and packaging the presentation materials for Board Meetings.
• Perform other duties responsibilities which is in line with development and communication function.
