Job Summary
Modernbrands Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The Internal Auditor will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while identifying opportunities for operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct internal audits across various departments to assess financial and operational controls
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements
- Review financial records, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and control gaps, and propose corrective actions
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with department heads to implement audit recommendations
- Monitor and follow up on the status of audit findings and corrective actions
- Assist in developing annual audit plans based on risk assessments
- Support external audit processes as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Office-based with occasional travel for audit assignments (with company service vehicle & a driver)
