Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to be part of our quality assurance efforts across the company’s product lines. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements while delivering top-quality products.You will collaborate closely with the leader of the QA team as well as teams across procurement, production, and sales to maintain product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Execution and Compliance- Execute daily QA checks for Incoming Materials, SOPs, and Finished Goods (FG).
- Perform verification activities, including:
o Pre-operational and operational audits
o Warehouse audits
o Environmental Monitoring Program
o Allergen Control Program
o Organic Management Program (ACO/USDA NOP-compliant)- Conduct QA Receiving Inspections for all incoming materials, verifying COAs, packaging integrity, labelling, and storage conditions.
- Maintain and update QA documentation, logs, inspection records, and traceability files.
- Prepare samples and coordinate the schedule of lab testings (internal and third-party).
- Support product testing including sensory evaluation and microbiological sample collection.
- Update product specifications and generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Assist in internal audits and certification audits (HACCP, ACO, Halal, Kosher, customer audits).
- Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation such as PIFs, SOPs, allergen declarations, QA logs, and risk assessments.
- Support CAR closure efforts by collecting evidence, coordinating follow-ups, and verifying implementation.
- Assist in compiling QA reports on product status, inspection findings, and quality issues.
- Track and record QA and production data to identify recurring issues.
- Support preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives led by the QA Manager.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, sourcing, and production teams to ensure QA procedures are followed.
- Act as the QA Manager’s on-site representative for real-time updates, risk identification, and operational compliance.
- Participate in supplier delivery checks and communicate any non-conformance
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, or Food Safety in the food manufacturing, storage, or distribution industry.
- Prior experience working in a dry goods warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Working Onsite
- Familiarity with FSANZ, HACCP, Organic (ACO/USDA NOP), Halal, and Kosher standards is an advantage.
Competencies:
Hard Skills- Working knowledge of Integrated Management Systems including:
- Competent in QA Receiving Inspection, Product Testing, and Environmental Monitoring
- Skilled in preparing documentation such as:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortable using QA tools such as checklists, risk assessments, and inspection templates
- Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional warehouse, sourcing, and production teams
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Proactive and able to act on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- High attention to detail and precision in documentation
- Good planning and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, lean operational environment
- Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship of the QA Manager
- Calm under pressure; able to escalate issues appropriately
- High accountability and strong follow-through on tasks
