IT Senior Network Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior, lead, or supervisory role with proven leadership experience managing projects and mentoring technical teams.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying network infrastructure from scratch, including network planning, implementation, and documentation for new office or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing MikroTik routers, including routing, firewall, VPN, VLAN, NAT, and wireless configurations.
• Experience creating and maintaining network topology diagrams, IP addressing plans, and technical infrastructure documentation.
• Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VRFs, STP, QoS, multicast fundamentals).
• Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or similar), including policy design, NAT, IDS/IPS, and TLS inspection.
• Solid experience in VPN technologies (site-to-site, remote access) and Zero Trust / SASE / ZTNA concepts.
• Working knowledge of AWS and GCP networking (VPCs, routing, peering, Transit Gateway/Cloud Router, Direct Connect, Private Link, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi solutions and structured cabling standards.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, Datadog, Grafana) and traffic analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and compliance standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Exposure to formal change management processes (Jira/ServiceNow) and incident postmortems.
• Strong English communication skills for cross-functional and international collaboration.

• Relevant certifications (CCNP, NSE, PCNSE, AWS Advanced Networking, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, etc.).
• Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated environments (e.g., BSP-aligned operations).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE solutions.
• Understanding of Kubernetes networking fundamentals.
• Experience managing ISP and telecom vendors in the Philippines.
• Familiarity with identity-based access systems (Entra ID, Okta, Keycloak).
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
