Equipment Maintenance Engineer - Sputtering
Supervises daily activities of a medium sized production team to ensure that volume, cost, and quality targets are achieved. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures for continuous improvement. Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and training requirements to maximize productivity.Provides input to the performance evaluation of the team.
About the job:
- Supervises the daily activities of a production team by monitoring productivity; accountable for results of the team. Trains new team members on processes.
- Identifies areas for development and recommends ways to improve processes. Including OEE, Yield, Quality and Pokayoke system as well as Machine Design Weaknesses improvement
- Assists the team with difficult or complex concerns; acts an escalation point of contact. Coaching and Technician Skill-up Program
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance program is in-place and being reviewed regularly to further improve machine performance
- Develop a best Preventive Maintenance Strategy. Create a spare parts management system (Stocking, withdrawal, and replenishment) as well as ensuring that Supplies spending is within the plan
- Develop, Design toolings, fixtures, and jigs needed by the production
- Drive the 2nd sourcing of machine parts to drive maintenance cost reduction
- Ensure on-time calibration of equipment
- Drive Capacity and Cycle Time Improvement
- Generate work instructions, set-up checklist & control charts as required
- Conduct training & seek out maintenance activities for each technician
About you:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer,
- Licensed Engineer would be added advantage
- 8+ years of work experience in an electronics, semiconductor, and automotive manufacturing company
- Knowledge in automation, AutoCAD, and PLC would be an added advantage
- Good English oral and written communication skills
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office
- Have extensive experience with the sputtering process.
