Role: Pipeline Design and Geographic Information Systems Specialists!Work Arrangement: Work From Office
Location: Philippines - Makati
Schedule: Morning/Night shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Researches and interprets data from engineering drawings, tabular spreadsheets, and other GIS environments for processing and updating GIS data.
- Processes changes in geometry and attributes within the Company’s GIS system
- Updates work management systems and analyzes data for reporting
- Supports the development of documentation for supported systems/applications and plans and conducts training for same on an as-needed basis.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality control
- Utilize GIS software packages such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcMap.
- Create, maintain, and analyze complex geospatial data sets
- Work independently on projects related to GIS
- Develop applications, databases, and tools to support GIS projects
- Utilize GIS software to develop maps and analyze data
- Manage GIS projects from conception to completion
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve desired outcomes
- Communicate results and progress of GIS projects to stakeholders
- Design and develop data models and other GIS related documents
- Provide technical support for GIS applications and tools
- Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases, applications, and tools.
- Perform spatial analysis, data management, and cartography.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to internal stakeholders.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and technical support.
- Prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of GIS projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of GIS systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GIS technology and trends
Qualification and requirements (non-negotiable):
Required Education, Certifications, Licenses and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, and/or Engineering is required. (In lieu of education qualifications, twelve (12) years of applicable experience)
- 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Refining, and/or Energy Industry
- Successful completion of a GIS certification program is required if Associate degree is in a field other than Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related major. In lieu of education qualifications, 4 years of professional GIS experience may be substituted.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with ArcGIS tools and be able to interpret simple engineering drawings and supporting construction documents.
- Must be able to clearly communicate, both orally and written, technical and non-technical information to management.
- Possess demonstrated skills in organizing, planning and coordinating work.
- Intermediate Proficiency in ESRI GIS applications, Microsoft Office and ability to query in relational databases (such as Oracle or Access).
- Ability to work in a fast paced, highly technical environment with frequently changing systems and processes.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Prolonged and intensive periods of typing and mouse work. Prolonged periods of sitting up to 8 hours per day.
- Experience With Geodatabase Design
