Job Summary
Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in scheduling equipment operation and maintenance and installing and repairing electrical and/or mechanical systems, with 5 years in a supervisory role.Must have extensive experience in organizing and supervising a large number of technical staff in both technical and administrative aspects.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other critical building systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, alarms, and emergency calls during the shift.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimize operational disruptions.
- Record all shift activities, incidents, and maintenance work in the engineering logbook or digital system.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the implementation of maintenance schedules and engineering projects.
- Support other departments with technical assistance as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical field)
- At least 10 years of experience in building maintenance or plant operations. 5 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of MEP systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Licensed Engineer (PRC Registered)
- Experience in high-rise buildings, hotels, hospitals, or industrial facilities
