This role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, preventive maintenance techniques, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics. The technician may also support broader electrical maintenance duties in a workshop, construction site, or industrial facility.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electric-powered tools such as drills, grinders, saws, sanders, and other portable equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability of tools and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing devices such as multimeters, continuity testers, and insulation resistance testers.
• Replace or repair defective wiring, switches, motors, brushes, cords, and other electrical components.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, service logs, and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with the installation and setup of new power tools or equipment.
• Calibrate tools as necessary to maintain performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool maintenance area and follow workplace safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/Vocational Certificate in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Industrial Electricity, or a related field.
• Certifications NC II in Electrical Installation and Maintenance TESDA or equivalent. (preferred)
• Safety training certifications (e.g., Basic Occupational Safety and Health – BOSH)

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in electrical maintenance, tool repair, or a similar role (entry-level candidates with relevant training may also be considered).
• Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical systems.
• Knowledge of tool mechanics and electrical components.
• Familiarity with test instruments and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift equipment for extended periods.
• Capable of working in workshops, field locations, or construction environments.
