Senior accounting officer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Officer to oversee the company’s financial operations. The role involves managing accounting processes for both construction projects and hollow block production, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Monitor production costs for hollow blocks (materials, labor, overhead) and construction project expenses
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials and finished goods
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and withholding taxes
• Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies
• Maintain internal controls and conduct periodic audits
• Track project costs, billing, and collections for construction activities
• Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning
• Supervise and guide accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, project accounting, and inventory management
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
