PeopleSoft Administrator
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced PeopleSoft System Administrator with expertise in server migration and managing multi-tenant database environments. This role will be instrumental in the administration and optimization of PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft platforms, ensuring smooth transitions during server migrations and high availability across multiple environments (Production, UAT, System Test, and Development).
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain databases, application servers, web servers, and batch servers across both PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft environments.Manage multiple application instances including Production, UAT, System Test, and Development.
Participate in architecture and infrastructure planning by providing design inputs, checking software/hardware requirements, and recommending specifications.
Install, configure, and upgrade software necessary for supported applications/platforms.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and execute mitigation strategies to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Design and build secure and efficient integrations between PeopleSoft and other applications/platforms.
Conduct impact analysis and manage the deployment of patches, fixes, and upgrades.
Execute tasks in line with ITIL processes such as Incident, Change, Problem, Event, Release, and Configuration Management.
Support other IT and business teams in executing tasks defined in the service catalog (e.g., code migrations, script executions, online configuration).
Handle escalations related to application/system issues and provide timely resolutions.
Contribute to KPI definition, reporting, and performance analytics for infrastructure operations.
Create and maintain technical and operational documentation including SOPs, policies, architecture diagrams, and checklists.
Develop tools such as scripts, bots, and spreadsheets to automate and improve operational efficiency.
Take on additional duties as assigned, including participation in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Job Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a PeopleSoft System Administrator, including: Server migration projects
Multi-tenant database administrationEnvironment setup and maintenance
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture (WebLogic/Tuxedo/PIA), tools, and lifecycle management.
Experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or other RDBMS supporting multi-tenancy.
Proficient in Unix/Linux and Windows server environments.
Familiarity with system monitoring tools and automation scripting (e.g., Shell, PowerShell, Python).
Solid understanding and practical experience with ITIL framework.
Experience in integrating PeopleSoft with other platforms via REST/SOAP web services or middleware.
Preferred Qualifications
PeopleTools upgrade and PeopleSoft PUM patching experience.Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or OCI).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
ITIL v3/v4 Certification is a plus.
