A Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the company’s purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of quality goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, and reliability
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in BS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Proven experience as a purchasing officer, buyer, or procurement role
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good knowledge of supply chain procedures and inventory management
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and procurement software (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle Procurement Cloud)
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
