Job Opening: Licensed Chemical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and licensed professional to lead our Quality Assurance Department while overseeing occupational safety and environmental compliance across operations. The successful candidate will manage daily QA activities, enforce quality standards, support safety programs, and ensure pollution control compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance

1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Quality Assurance Department.
2. Prepare weekly schedules and assign manning for inspectors per machine.
3. Randomly inspect outsourced box products (tolling arrangements) and submit reports to the Operations Manager.
4. Ensure all product outputs comply with internal and customer specifications and meet high quality standards.
5. Investigate and implement corrective actions for non-conforming products and customer complaints.
6. Work closely with QA staff, department heads, and production teams to monitor quality and resolve issues.
7. Submit daily inspection reports and test results to the Operations Manager.

1. Provide support in achieving compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment programs.
2. Audit safety programs, report findings, and recommend necessary improvements or revisions.
3. Assist in the implementation of company-wide safety policies and employee training.

1. Coordinate and monitor the work of Wastewater Treatment, and Air Pollution Treatment Operators for environmental compliance.
2. Oversee implementation of pollution control measures and proper waste disposal procedures.

1. Perform additional tasks as may be assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Licensed Chemical Engineer.
2. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
3. Preferably with 2–3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or safety/environmental role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
4. Fresh graduates with a valid PRC license may be considered, provided they are willing to undergo training.
5. Strong knowledge of industrial chemicals, wastewater treatment systems is an advantage.
6. Familiarity with DENR, DOLE, and OSHC regulations.
7. Strong knowledge of QA systems, process audits, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
8. Proficient in technical documentation, data analysis, and preparation of compliance reports.
9. Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
