Drive vehicles to transport delivery goods to and from specified destinations.
Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
Ensure that all necessary documents are intact and carried such as Xerox copy of Certificate of Registration, Insurance and Official Receipt of the vehicle.
Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
Coordinate with the Operations Manager regarding delivery/pick up schedule.
In charge on delivery/pick up of goods or returns. Secure a Delivery Receipt (for delivery), Purchase Order list (for pick up) or Material Return form (for delivery returns).
Counter-check/recount items for delivery together with the Guard on Duty and verifies if it matches items and total quantity from DR declarations.
Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, and spark plugs.
Troubleshooting and fixing mechanical problems, including engine, transmission, and electrical system issues.
Providing on-site repair assistance and breakdown support to minimize operational disruptions.. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephones. Prepares an Incident Report in case of accident and secure Police Report or any document pertaining to the said accident
Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.
