Application Support Specialist (SQL / PL-SQL)
- Location: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
- Salary: PHP 80,000 – 90,000
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join a global organization. This role is ideal for candidates with strong SQL/PL-SQL expertise and a solid background in application support, incident management, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure smooth operations of business applications by resolving issues promptly and efficiently
- Support deployment and transition of application features from development to production
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize application performance
- Automate manual processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incidents and problem resolution
- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in Application Support (NOT infrastructure-focused roles)
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL / PL-SQL (must-have)
- Experience working with relational databases (preferably MS SQL Server)
- Background in incident and problem management
- Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) is an advantage
- Knowledge of Java or Python
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)
- Basic exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
