WHO CAN APPLY?
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, or Tourism Management (with a strong background in financial analysis/costing).
  • Experience: Open to Fresh Graduates with strong academic foundations, or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or travel operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis, margin evaluation, and verifying supplier invoices.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with tour package components (hotel, transport, tours), wholesale rate negotiation, and reservation workflows.
  • Core Competencies: Sharp eye for detail to spot pricing discrepancies, risk identification skills, and the ability to draft clear, objective audit reports.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaborative skills to work constructively with Reservation and Issuance teams.

JOB SUMMARY: The Package Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and ensuring compliance with the operational and financial processes of the Tour Package Reservation and Package Issuance teams. This role involves assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, verifying adherence to policies, and identifying opportunities for improvement, including ensuring that tour package pricing aligns with profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Oversight: Conduct regular audits of the Tour Package Reservation and Package Issuance processes to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations within the Tour Package Reservation and Package Issuance teams, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Record Verification: Review records maintained by the Tour Package Reservation Officer and Package Issuance Officer to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established protocols.
  • Pricing Assessment: Analyze the pricing of tour packages to ensure they are within a profitable range. Verify that negotiated rates with tour operators and suppliers align with the company’s financial objectives.
  • Rate Negotiation Review: Assess the negotiation processes for securing competitive rates with tour operators and suppliers, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and profitability goals.
  • Documentation Assessment: Verify that all reservation details, confirmations, and transactions are accurately documented and maintained in accordance with company policies.
  • Supplier and Customer Interaction: Evaluate the effectiveness of communication and relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all activities related to package issuance and reservations comply with company standards and best practices.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and compliance status for presentation to management.
  • Risk Identification: Identify potential risks related to operational processes and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance internal controls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively with team members to implement improvements based on audit findings, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Others: May be assigned to perform other functions related to audits.
