Summary

As a WordPress Developer at ThinkBIT, you will work on a variety of web development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable websites. Projects may range from simple feature implementations to complex solutions that require strong design principles and technical expertise.

Roles and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Focus on developing WordPress sites in adherence to industry best practices and ThinkBIT’s project life cycle;
• Collaborate with teams in completing project requirements; and
• Expand your knowledge in related technologies;
• Set up your development environment (e.g., XAMPP) if you cannot provision ThinkBIT’s web development environment;
• Install and configure WordPress plugins, and
• Design and customize WordPress themes;
• Ensure to maximize the use of WordPress functionality;
• Participate in planning and providing input to work estimations;
• Timely reporting and communication of development progress, risks, and issues;
• Have a good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery;
• Build user interfaces for websites and/or web applications;
• Design and develop responsive design websites;
• Develop web applications in Wordpress with PHP and JavaScript;
• Integrate with REST APIs and third-party plugins;
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML);
• Convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages;
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SourceTree;
• Have a strong understanding of PHP back-end development;
• Ensure to deliver project on time.
• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): json, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with other CMS platforms: Drupal, Shopify, and Squarespace
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in IT/Computer Software or equivalent.
