The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves operating the cash register, processing payments, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process sales transactions using cash registers or POS systems
- Accept payments by cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payment methods
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Ensure correct pricing and accurate cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- Resolve customer inquiries or complaints politely and efficiently
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise when needed
- Follow company policies and security procedures
- At least High School Graduate
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Good Math Skills
- Willing to undergo training
- Customer-service Oriented
- Work experience as a cashier is an advantage
