About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer to join the team at CEBU PARK TOWER TWO CONDO CORP in Cebu City. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and safety of our building systems and infrastructure.
As the Building Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems that keep our facility operating efficiently. This role is integral to maintaining the comfort, safety, and functionality of our condominium complex for all residents and stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of building infrastructure, equipment, and facilities to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Manage emergency repairs and troubleshoot technical problems, responding promptly to service requests from residents and management.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely, to the required standards, and within budget.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-efficiency initiatives to reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedules, work plans, and annual maintenance budgets for management approval.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
- Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional engineering license (PRC Registered Mechanical Engineer, Registered Electrical Engineer, Registered Civil Engineer, or other relevant engineering license).
- At least 3–5 years of experience in building engineering, facilities management, property management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural building systems.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, occupational safety standards, and preventive maintenance best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to technical issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Physically capable of inspecting building systems and equipment, including climbing stairs and accessing elevated work areas when necessary.
- Valid driver's license is an advantage.
- Willingness to be on call and respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
