The Senior Management Trainee – Financial Risk Management Department supports the implementation of the Company's risk management, insurance, contract management, asset protection, and compliance initiatives. The role assists in reviewing claims, evaluating contracts, monitoring insurance coverage, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies, legal requirements, and internal control procedures.

The position works closely with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other business units to identify risks, recommend appropriate mitigation measures, and strengthen the Company's governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review claims investigation reports and evaluate recommendations to support timely and appropriate claims resolution.
  • Monitor and follow up insurance and claims cases to ensure proper documentation, timely processing, and closure.
  • Ensure company insurance policies are renewed on schedule while maintaining cost-effective coverage.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring procedures for the effective management, protection, and control of company fixed assets.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with Financial Risk Management Department (FRMD) policies, internal controls, and company procedures.
  • Review contracts, service agreements, memoranda, and other legal documents to protect the Company's interests and minimize legal and financial risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations on asset management, utilization, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare risk assessment reports, contract review summaries, and management recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other departments to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, insurance policies, claims, and risk management documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to financial risk management and corporate governance.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by responding professionally to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and continuous learning to improve individual and departmental performance.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, professionalism, and accountability across all assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all company information, legal documents, contracts, financial records, and other sensitive data.
  • Uphold the Company's Vision, Mission, Core Values, Code of Conduct, and all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor, Department Head, or Division Head.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Management, Law, Business Administration, Financial Management, or any related four-year course.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, Asset Management, Insurance, Internal Audit, or related functions.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in financial risk management, contract management, legal compliance, or corporate governance.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in contract review, insurance administration, claims management, asset management, or regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, corporate governance, internal controls, and legal documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to prepare reports and present recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience in Power BI and data analytics is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
