Stock Counting and Audits: ? Conduct regular physical counts of inventory (e.g., cycle counting, full inventory audits) and compare the results with the records in the inventory management system.
Record Maintenance: Accurately update and maintain the inventory database, recording all movements, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issuances of stock.
Organization and Location: Ensure all inventory is correctly labeled and stored in its designated location (bin, rack, or shelf) for easy retrieval, following the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method where necessary.
Issuance and Distribution: Process requests for materials or parts from other departments, ensuring the correct items are picked, documented, and delivered in a timely manner.
Discrepancy Reporting: Investigate and report any significant discrepancies between the physical stock count and the system records, identifying potential causes like loss, damage, or misplacement.
Order Preparation Support: Assist with preparing inventory for shipment or transfer, ensuring all items match the order requirements before leaving the storage area.
