JOB OVERVIEW:
The Managing Director / General Manager (MD/GM) serves as the highest-ranking executive officer of Data Lake, Inc., reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The position is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, operational management, financial performance, business growth, organizational development, and long-term sustainability of the company.
The MD/GM functions as the chief executive leader responsible for translating the Board’s vision, goals, and directives into executable business strategies and measurable results. The role provides comprehensive oversight across all business units and corporate functions, ensuring alignment of organizational objectives, operational execution, customer satisfaction, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder interests.
As the principal executive responsible for day-to-day management and long-term corporate growth, the MD/GM oversees and integrates all departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, Facilities Management, Safety and Health, Compliance, Project Management, and Business Development.The position ensures that each department operates effectively while contributing to the overall success and strategic priorities of the organization.
The MD/GM is expected to identify growth opportunities, strengthen the company’s market position, establish strategic partnerships, drive innovation, optimize business processes, improve operational efficiencies, and ensure sustainable profitability.The role also serves as the primary representative of the company in dealings with clients, government agencies, strategic partners, investors, industry organizations, and other key stakeholders.
The position requires a highly experienced executive leader capable of managing complex business operations, making critical organizational decisions, leading transformational initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the company remains competitive in an evolving business and technology landscape.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Executive Leadership and Corporate Management- Provide overall leadership, direction, and management of the company in accordance with the strategic objectives established by the Board of Directors.
- Lead the organization in achieving its mission, vision, strategic goals, and financial objectives.
- Establish and communicate company-wide priorities, performance expectations, and operational standards.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration among all departments and business units.

- Provide strategic leadership to Enterprise, Government, Channel, and Strategic Account Sales teams.

- Oversee the company’s financial health, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure effective financial planning and management practices throughout the organization.
- Monitor revenue performance, operating expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
- Review and approve major expenditures, investments, and capital allocation decisions.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Develop strategies to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and financial sustainability.
- Present financial performance reports and business recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Provide executive oversight of talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Telecommunications, or any related field.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategic Management, Executive Leadership, Finance, or related discipline is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Corporate Governance, Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Leadership, Finance, or Business Management are considered advantageous.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive professional experience in business management, corporate leadership, operations, sales, business development, or executive management.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a senior leadership or executive-level role such as General Manager, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Country Manager, Vice President, or equivalent.
- Proven track record in leading multi-functional organizations with diverse business units and departments.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, operational excellence, organizational transformation, and strategic business expansion.
- Experience managing large-scale projects, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors, executive committees, government agencies, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in the telecommunications, information technology, systems integration, satellite communications, infrastructure, managed services, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate strategy, business planning, and organizational leadership.
