Veterinary Technician

AVCI is looking for a VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Veterinary Graduate (no license), BS Agriculture or BS Med Tech.
• Male/Female. If married, we prefer applicants whose family resides in Cebu.
• Experience is not necessary.
• Willing to be trained.
• Team player.
• Can perform under pressure.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Cebu City, Talisay City, Mandaue City or Naga City.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the veterinarian in performing surgeries, vaccinations, treatments & physical check-ups.
• Collects samples and keeps records of patient examinations, treatments & drugs administered.
• Provides nursing care, monitors body functions of patients & performs either parenteral (IV, IM, SQ) or oral therapies.
• Performs night shifts & Sunday shift work. Performs billing & minor administrative duties.
• To be trained to perform other duties related to the practice (e.g. routine lab procedures, ECG, X-ray, serology)

• AVCI does not provide boarding.
• AVCI strictly follows the labor code of the Philippines.
• All AVCI employees (regular & probationary) are entitled to regular & special holiday pays, overtime pays & 13th month pays. Only regular employees are subject to PhilHealth, SSS, HDMF & withholding tax deductions.
• Regular AVCI employees are entitled to annual vacation (6 days), sick leave (6 days)and birthday leave (1 day) credits.
• Normal working schedule at AVCI are Mondays to Saturdays, 9am-12pm & 1pm-6pm

Salary:

• Applicant becomes a regular employee after the first 6 months of work with an increase in salary.
• The initial salary for a Veterinary Technician is P14,000 per month.
• A regular employee is subject to an annual increase of 10% based on acceptable performance; calculated with initial salary as base pay.
