The Role: We are seeking a dynamic Sales Development Representative to serve as the vital bridge between our marketing efforts and sales success. This role is perfect for a relationship-building professional who thrives on connecting with economic development organizations and helping them discover how our platform can transform their impact on communities.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Generation: Research and identify high-potential prospects within economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, and related institutions
- Outreach Strategy: Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other professional networks to generate qualified interest
- Relationship Building: Nurture prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel with consultative conversations and value-driven messaging
- Lead Qualification: Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and determine fit for our solutions
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and prepare qualified discovery calls and demos for our U.S.-based sales team
- CRM Management: Maintain detailed and accurate prospect records, interaction history, and pipeline data in HubSpot
- Follow-up Excellence: Systematically follow up on webinar attendees, inbound leads, and previous conversations to maximize conversion opportunities
- Process Innovation: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies, improve messaging, and optimize conversion rates
- Playbook Development: Contribute to and help expand our library of proven outreach scripts, email templates, and best practices
You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer outreach roles
- Proven track record working effectively with U.S.-based teams, clients, or stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with ability to craft compelling, professional messaging
- Self-starter mentality with demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones with flexible schedule management
- Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and sales technology tools
- Strong research skills and attention to detail in prospect identification and record keeping
- Results-oriented mindset with ability to meet and exceed activity and conversion metrics
- Bonus qualifications: Familiarity with economic development, entrepreneurship, nonprofit sector, or government relations
