Job Summary
The Welder Technician is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal structures and components using various welding techniques. Because this role requires bilingual fluency in both Thai and English, the ideal candidate will serve as a technical asset capable of interpreting international blueprints, collaborating with cross-border teams, or working in multinational manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality welding tasks utilizing multiple processes including MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW based on project specifications.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, structural blueprints, and complex welding symbols to accurately determine layouts and dimensions.
Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate, set up, and maintain welding machines, hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments. Ensure all safety equipment is utilized correctly.
Quality Assurance: Inspect welded joints and materials for defects, ensuring all finished products meet company standards and safety regulations.
Bilingual Communication: Effectively communicate technical details, instructions, and reports in both Thai and English with team members, supervisors, or external stakeholders.
Operational Flexibility: Maintain physical stamina to handle heavy materials and comfortably adapt to various working environments, including shifting schedules, overtime, and holiday operations as production demands require.
Qualifications/Requirements
WELDER TECHNICIAN - THAI, ENGLISH
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate, Technical/Vocational Graduate, or equivalent certification in Welding Technology or a related field.
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and metalwork is an advantage.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Skilled in the use of welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, and holidays when required.
- Welding certifications are an advantage.
