JOB SUMMARY
Designs, manages and performs within a design team in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the Interior Design process including preparation of materials, schematic design, design development, contract documentation, rendering and construction of administration activities within an established budget with specific scheduling, site and programmatic requirements.
Project Designers lead parts of a project or entire projects (depending upon the scope and scale) in conjunction with Senior Leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor/Master Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program
Minimum 6 years of post-graduate professional Design experience, preferably within the Hospitality Industry
Currently LEED® AP or willing to become certified within two years of hire
Currently registered or willing to complete professional examination within two years of hire
Advanced experience with construction materials and FF&E specifications/providers
Advanced experience in project design specifications, construction documentation production, material selection and construction administration
Strong graphic and presentation skills in AutoCAD (current office release preferred), InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp
Strong hand drafting/sketching skills
Knowledgeable in specification writing (SPEXX and SpecSource experience preferred)
Advanced understanding and knowledge of design principals, theories, color and materials
Experience in managing and leading successful projects and/or teams
Superior written and verbal communication
