Job Description:

The successful candidate must be adaptable to Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

• Develop a deep understanding of client businesses to tailor audit strategies.
• Maintain and foster positive client relationships.

Audit Operations & Compliance:

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements, identifying risks to determine the audit strategy.
• Prepare audit reports with key findings and recommended actions.
• Ensure audit files comply with Internal Audit Methodology.
• Address Manager and Principal review points promptly.
• Complete audits within deadlines and budget constraints, reporting variances as needed.
• Stay updated on relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

Business Growth & Development:

• Represent the company in industry and business activities to attract new clients.

Qualification and requirements:

• A member of or qualified as a Certified Internal Auditor.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CA and/or CISA certification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• While years of experience are flexible, ideally looking for around 5 years of experience with big four or tier two firms.
• Primary focus is on variety of engagements completed rather than strictly years of service.
• Proven expertise in internal audit with a focus on IT audits, governance, and compliance.
• Experience in writing internal audit recommendations and reports.

• CIA certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
