Refrigeration and airconditioning technician

Job Description

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automotive air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of vehicle A/C units.
• Install, replace, and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, blowers, hoses, and other A/C components.
• Recharge refrigerant and check for leaks using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Conduct system performance testing to ensure proper cooling efficiency.
• Inspect electrical wiring, relays, switches, and control systems related to automotive air conditioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
• Explain repair findings and recommendations to customers when necessary.
• Follow company safety procedures and environmental regulations for refrigerant handling.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.

• High school graduate, vocational graduate, or equivalent.
• NC II in Automotive Servicing or Automotive Air Conditioning (preferred but not required).
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Car Aircon Technician is an advantage.
• Knowledge of automotive A/C systems, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration principles.
• Familiarity with refrigerant recovery and charging equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a workshop environment.
• Honest, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Possesses good problem-solving and communication skills.
