Senior Civil Engineer
Develop design briefs, reviews, and verifications. Provide design schedule, output target, cost estimates, and design data, including design changes. Conduct administration of technical queries. Ensure that technical accuracy and compliance, as well as quality of design, are achieved as required.
Assist in the coordination of all discipline engineering activities. Coordinate any design issues that may arise in the course of the project. May update site drawing management systems.
Responsabilities- Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
- Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
- Knowledge Management: Implement policies and processes, collect best practices, write case studies, and deliver internal knowledge-sharing sessions to capture and share knowledge among colleagues on project/program outcomes and innovative practices and to support the practice.
- Construction Project Budgeting: Deliver a budget for parts of construction projects, perform pre- and post-calculations, and analyze budget progress.
- Construction Advice: Provide specialist professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to complex maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
- Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.
- Operational Compliance: Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
- General Experience: Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years)
- Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)
This job offer is project contract to be based onsite.
