HR Compensation and Benefits Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage employee attendance / timekeeping.
  • Handles the payroll process.
  • Administer processing of Government Mandated Benefits of employees.
  • Facilitate processing and computation of clearance and final pay.
  • Ensure that all company advances paid to the employees (maternity and sickness related claims) are reimbursed from SSS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calculation of employees’ pay, deductions, and government benefit contributions.
  • Handles special cases/concerns pertaining to contribution and loan posting and other unusual cases of employees.
  • Prepare and communicate information to employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.
  • Resolve conflicts with benefit providers for the purpose of validating enrollment eligibility and processing claims.
  • Ensure that the company pay practices are compliant with company policies and local laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Accounting, or any related field.
  • Experience in payroll, or compensation and benefits is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling employee data, payroll, and benefits information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for handling employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
