DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Testing & Commissioning Phase:

Site Project Works:

  • Assist the Support Services Team;
  • Attend regular, monthly and quarterly project coordination meetings;
  • Prepare regular project progress reports as required by SSD Manager;
  • Review governance manuals, accommodation policies and other company guidelines related to Support Services.
  • Perform such other function as the SSD Manager may direct.

Operations and Maintenance:

  • Implement / update (according to the needs) HI procurement procedures on the programme and organise the different stages in the local and regional purchasing of goods and services: market surveys (bid analysis), ordering, monitoring, receipt, conformity checks;
  • Manage the local and regional transport of merchandise: choice of transport methods and packaging, planning and monitoring of dispatches, administrative and customs formalities;
  • Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained;
  • Assure the physical management of stock: introduce / update a stock management tool and manage the flow of merchandise;
  • Ensures that inventory is managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with guidelines, policies, and procedures;
  • Determines and reviews budget requirements based on supply inventory, plant maintenance and administration requirements;
  • Use of IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs;
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers;
  • Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems, and producing new solutions; and
  • Performs other duties and activities that may be assigned by his superior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree major in Management or any related course.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in materials management in an industrial environment preferably in a power generating company.
  • Good knowledge of power plant operations
  • Sound appreciation of operations, maintenance, administration and other department functions
  • Materials Management
  • Strong supervisory and administrative skills
  • Strong planning, and organizational skills
