Job Description:

We are looking for a Junior Java and Angular Web developer. Main responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop reusable software components
• Ensure code and design meet specifications, quality and security standards
• Develop high quality, maintainable software using cutting edge technologies and practices
• Full stack developer capable of working on PostgreSQL database, Java backend, and Angular front end

Requirements:

• 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or other related fields OR 1+years of experience as a Java and Angular software developer
• Quick learner with the ability to be productive within a short timeframe
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented design and programming
• Up-to-date with current programming standards and best practices
• Direct experience developing in PostgreSQL, Java, and Angular
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue
• Knowledge of parallel processing and multi-threading
• Experience with REST, JSON, and XML
• Disciplined coding style with an eye toward maintainability, scalability, and aesthetics of the code base
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Understanding of the SDLC and of Quality Assurance techniques using source code repositories, debugging, and testing experience
• Experience working on fast-paced agile delivery teams

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with PostgreSQL database and optimizing and fine-tuning queries for performance
• Experience with Java and multi-threading for optimizing performance
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Tomcat application server
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience working with Visual Studio Code for Angular development and Eclipse for Java development

Location Requirements:

• Position is fully remote, but we do have an office for onboarding and training. Preference will be given to candidates that live closer to office.
