Risk Officer

Supports the business in the identification, measurement and action management of potentials threats and challenges and potential value added projects. Supports the Chief Risk Officer in the development of non-financial risk frameworks and policies and the creation effective and adaptive risk management practices within ELGAP.

• Facilitates and performs the requirements for internal and external risk assessment for non-financial risk domains assigned to the role.
• Prepares risk analytics and reports for various committees and boards.
• Assist the CRO in the collection of data and preparation of risk reports pertaining to Insurance Risk, Regulatory Risk, Fraud Risk and other risk domains, when necessary, whether imminent or emerging.
• Facilitate Issues and Incident Management
• Support risk appetite, tolerances and limits setting, risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting through data-driven analysis and research. Continuously improve the ability to collect, analyse and monitor operational risk incidents.
• Provide risk management guidance and support to the business. Participate in / contribute to risk enquiries, studies, and initiatives, including but not limited to stress testing and scenario analyses.
• Coordinate with the Operational Risk Officers (ORO) to gather the risks in each business units. Monitor, consolidate and facilitate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Provide support to process owners on assessing adequacy of internal controls.
• Contribute to the preparation and production of internal risk reporting (i.e., risk dashboards) and external risk reporting (i.e., regulatory reports etc.). Work with the CRO in developing and implementing approaches to continuously improve the quality and production efficiency of Risk Reports.
• Contribute to developing and managing relevant initiatives to further embed and strengthen a culture of risk awareness within the organization/entities (e.g., ERM trainings and communication).
• Assist the CRO in developing the business continuity program of ELGAP. Collaborate and facilitate the completion of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
• Collaborate with ELGAP’s Crisis Management Teams to ensure tests, assessments and trainings are adequately implemented and reported on a timely basis. Coordinate with ELGAP’s CMT on preparatory and BCP activation activities.
