Team Manager – E-Mail Operations (E-Mail Security)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Team Manager – E-Mail Operations (E-Mail Security) to lead a team responsible for email operations, spam and abuse mitigation, and Trust & Safety workflows in a dynamic 24x7 environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in email security, proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive operational excellence while managing cross-functional and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee daily email operations to ensure service level agreements (SLAs), productivity, and quality targets are consistently achieved.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of analysts/agents, including rostering and shift planning for 24x7 operations.
- Monitor and analyze trends related to spam, phishing, spoofing, and email abuse, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Conduct incident reviews and root cause analysis (RCA), and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Utilize Splunk to develop dashboards, monitor KPIs, and generate actionable operational insights.
- Ensure compliance with email authentication standards and security protocols, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and multi-vendor partners to ensure seamless operational delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Email Operations, Trust & Safety, or SOC (Security Operations Center) environments.
- Strong understanding of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams within a 24x7 operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
